ABOUT
DR. RUTH NEMIRE

LEADERSHIP EXPERT, EDUCATOR, WRITER, AND CONSULTANT.

LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE

TRANSFORMING ORGANIZATIONS THROUGH LEADERSHIP, KNOWLEDGE, AND INNOVATION

Throughout my career, I have served in executive leadership roles including Dean, Founding Executive Dean, Founding Associate Dean, Senior Vice President and Chief Academic Officer, Vice President, Chief Executive Officer, Principal Investigator, and Board Director. Leading across higher education, healthcare, nonprofit organizations, publishing, and consulting has given me the opportunity to build new programs, guide organizations through growth and transformation, and help leaders navigate complexity with clarity, curiosity, and purpose.

These experiences have reinforced a simple belief: leadership is not defined by position, but by the capacity we build in people and organizations to continue learning, adapting, and thriving long after a project is complete.

LEADERSHIP PHILOSOPHY

LEADERSHIP BEGINS WITH BELIEVING IN PEOPLE'S POTENTIAL

Leadership is not about managing organizations—it is about building capacity. By helping people develop confidence, strengthening organizations, advancing knowledge, and fostering innovation, leaders create environments where individuals and institutions continue to thrive long after a project is complete.

I believe leadership is measured not by the authority we hold, but by the opportunities we create for others to learn, contribute, and lead. The most effective leaders are committed to outcomes rather than attached to their own ideas. They ask thoughtful questions, embrace evidence, and have the courage to change when better solutions emerge. My role as a leader is not to solve everyone's problems. It is to help people develop the confidence and capability to solve them for themselves. Leadership succeeds when people discover they are capable of more because someone believed in them first.

This philosophy has guided every chapter of my career and continues to shape every engagement through Nemire Nexus.

ABOUT
CORI MELVERS

DISCOVER RUTH'S CREATIVE WORK UNDER HER LITERARY PEN NAME.
Reading in the Library

Her debut novel, Chloe's Catch, introduces readers to a world where observation matters, curiosity uncovers truth, and every answer leads to another question. Murder at the Bandemoor, now in development, continues that journey with new mysteries, unforgettable characters, and unexpected discoveries.

When she isn't writing, Cori can often be found near the water, enjoying good pizza, admiring orchids, spending time with animals, and quietly observing the everyday moments that so often become the beginning of her next story.

She believes every place has a mystery, every person has a story, and sometimes the smallest clue changes everything.

MEET CORI MELVERS

Cori Melvers writes mysteries for readers who enjoy intelligent characters, intriguing puzzles, and stories where curiosity, courage, and compassion matter as much as solving the crime.

Dr. Ruth Nemire spent a lifetime solving real problems in healthcare. Cori Melvers imagines the mysteries hidden within them.

Before turning to fiction, Cori built a career solving real problems in healthcare, clinical research, higher education, and publishing. Decades spent writing, researching, editing, teaching, and helping people navigate complex challenges now bring authenticity, depth, and a keen understanding of human nature to every mystery she writes.

Inspired by literary icons such as Agatha Christie, Isaac Asimov, Ray Bradbury, and Carl Hiaasen, Cori creates stories that blend suspense, wit, memorable characters, and a touch of South Florida charm. Her protagonists are intelligent women who ask difficult questions, challenge assumptions, and discover that the greatest mysteries are often hidden in ordinary places. She is especially passionate about portraying pharmacists and other professionals as they truly are—thoughtful, resourceful, compassionate, and quietly changing lives every day.

EVERY PLACE HAS A MYSTERY. EVERY PERSON HAS A STORY.

The best mysteries don't begin with a crime—they begin with people. Their hopes, fears, secrets, relationships, and choices shape every story. Set against the distinctive backdrop of South Florida, Cori Melvers' novels blend intelligent suspense, memorable characters, humor, and heart, inviting readers to uncover not only the mystery, but the human stories hidden within it.

Because sometimes the greatest mystery isn't who committed the crime.

It's why.

WHY I WRITE

I WRITE BECAUSE I WANT TO TELL A DIFFERENT STORY ABOUT PHARMACISTS.

Too often, fiction portrays them as villains, eccentric scientists, or convenient suspects. After a lifetime in pharmacy, I know something very different. Pharmacists are problem-solvers, trusted advisors, keen observers, and quiet heroes whose most important work often happens when no one is watching. Those are the stories I want to tell.

My mysteries feature intelligent, curious women who ask difficult questions, challenge assumptions, and leave the world a little better than they found it. They are not superheroes. They are professionals, leaders, scientists, and ordinary people whose greatest strengths are curiosity, courage, compassion, and a willingness to seek the truth.

I have always admired writers who combine intelligence with unforgettable storytelling. Agatha Christie showed me that the smallest detail can reveal the greatest truth. Isaac Asimov proved that science and imagination belong together. Carl Hiaasen demonstrates how wit can expose absurdity, while Ray Bradbury reminds us that stories can change the way we see the world.

My years in healthcare taught me to notice what others overlook and to appreciate the remarkable people behind every diagnosis, prescription, and decision. Those experiences now shape the characters, questions, and mysteries I write.

I write mysteries because every profession has untold stories, every person holds more than others can see, and sometimes the smallest clue changes everything.
